Ms. Angel Cottrell is CEO of Apollo Consultancy Group, a strategic management consulting and coaching firm.  Apollo Consultancy Group exists to reignite passion, confidence, and dedication of the business back to entrepreneurs and leaders.  Angel utilizes 25 years of successful business development, innovative  change management initiatives, and strategic leadership experience to support entrepreneurs and leaders who aim to accomplish groundbreaking goals. Angel’s vision is for everyone to experience the greatest version of their grandest vision.

Pairing strategic consulting (what to do) with executive coaching (how to get it done), Angel guides entrepreneurs and leaders to confidently grow the business and life of their dreams. Angel opened her first business enterprise, Sojourn Services Inc in 1997, grew it to a multi-million dollar non-profit, developed a program that became a model of excellence in the State of California, and the subject of a documentary that won numerous Independent Film Festival awards.  Angel went on to create, build, and deploy innovative business models for multiple organizations in the private, non-profit, and education sectors that are still utilized in present day.  Angel’s former positions include: Director of Client Services,  Small Business Development Center Director, Women’s Business Center Director, Small Business Loan Fund Director, Director of Operations, Outreach and Public Affairs Director, and Founder.  Angel is a former board member of the Kern County Black Chamber of Commerce and nominee of the Top 40 Women in Business on the Central Coast (CA). Angel volunteers with the Virtual Enterprise (VE) business planning program as a regional and state competition judge and serves as a mentor and coach of Centennial High School’s VE team.

Angel is the CEO of Apollo Consultancy Group, Inc.  She is a consultant & instructor with Mission Community Services Kern Women’s Business Center and a professional expert with the Kern Community College District's 21st Energy Center-Leadership and Management division.  Angel is an adjunct business faculty member at CSU Bakersfield School of Business and Public Administration (CSUB BPA) and Taft College.  Angel holds a B.A. in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara and a M.A. in Organizational Management from Antioch University. She resides in Bakersfield and is the proud “empty nester” mom to her daughter, Alexandra.
